Polymaker spools (or other 65mm wide spools) didn't fit very well on the original spool holder.  It would cause them to tilt in or out.

Widened the outer rings approx. 5mm to support the thinner spools.

Also, created a 3pc spool holder with a "poor man's bearing”. The separate tube can rotate around the spool, if there is more friction here between the spool and the tube itself. Most carboard spools will rotate around the spool with the tube.

Spool and Endcap printed from PETG-Prusa Orange (standard 0.2mm profile).

Tube was printed with Jesse-Elixir (PLA and TPU blend)- Abyss (standard 0.2mm profile).

You'll need to orient the parts properly on the build plate.  No supports were used.

The tube prints with beveled edges up.  I think I used a 5mm inner brim on this one.

All parts screw together with M3x6mm, low head cap screws (2mm head). I tapped the holes before putting in the screws.  You can use standard head M3 screws (they work…build plate and screw head is just pretty snug!) or the original torx screws for the spool or even button heads if you have those.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Reverse engineered from the Prusa Core One Spool Holder.  I didn't have access to the printables files when I made my models/parts.  Now I see they're up. :)
