The original model was designed for a smaller piece of wood (35cm x 8cm x 1cm) and it was a little too narrow for me.  The original was posted on MakerWorld but I couldn't find it here.

I wanted a bigger shelf for the top of my Skadis board and I had some spare 1x6 boards laying around that happened to be the right length. So I changed the original bracket model to make it chunkier/longer.

If you use Onshape (like me) you can find the model here. I've also uploaded a step file.

I tend to print functional parts like this using 6 walls, 30-35% infill and PETG. CNC Kitchen has a great video about this. PLA can kind of sag over time and doesn't always handle screws well, but it might work fine.

For the screws, I used #6 1" wood screws, since the thickness of the bracket itself stopped them from going through the 1x6 board. #6 ½" or #6 ¾" would probably work too.

IKEA Skadis Shelf Bracket

These brackets are hung on the top edge of an IKEA Skadis wall panel. The bracket can be freely moved and the width variably adjusted. Another advantage: more than two brackets can be used per shelf for very high stability. For my shelf, I used the remainder of a drawer front that is 35cm x 8cm x 1cm. However, you can use and mount anything as a shelf.

The two holes in the bracket have a 6.5mm hole as a passage for a wood screw.

Scaling is not recommended because otherwise the distance of the bracket will no longer match the plate thickness.

The brackets can be easily printed from PLA as long as they are not used outdoors.

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The original model was designed for a smaller shelf and I made it bigger to work with a 1x6 board.
