Tape Roll for Window Blind

This is a replacement for a tape roll in window blinds. The original part in our window blinds got brittle over time and broke.

As I did not find a suitable part ready for download, I designed this one from scratch. It looks different from the original but has the same functionality. I just optimised it for 3D-printing and wanted it to be easily printable in horizontal orientation in order to have the layer lines along the clip and not perpendicular. Support is only needed under the “bushings”.

• total length: 34 mm
• length of roll: 26 mm
• diameter of bushings: 6.5 mm
• diameter of roll: 12 mm
• rod diameter (hole for the drive shaft): 3.5 mm
