This is intended to slot into a shop tool that's compatible with Shopvac/Rigid-sized “2.5 inch” vacuum hoses, and adapt it to the Centec Quick-Click system.
Anticipated questions:
- Doesn't one of these come in a typical Quick-Click kit? Yes, but it's seven inches long (see my third photo). That provides a great lever-arm for the hose to tug it out of the tool, and awkwardly sticks out of the tool, making it hard to store next to other things. This is designed to fit neatly against the original port. (I could make it shorter, but you wouldn't be able to get your fingers in to disconnect the hose! I know, I tried.)
- What does this work with? I have personally tested this with a Wen planer, a Skil tablesaw, and a Rigid vacuum cleaner. It fits into every hole in my shop that normally accepts a Shopvac-sized hose.
- Why do you write “2.5 inch” hose in quotes? Because nothing about these hoses is 2.5 inches. This adapter tapers from 58.5mm to 57.6mm (2.303 to 2.268 inches), matching other adapters I measured.
Build Tips
Make sure you've got your printer calibrated and printing things at the size you tell it. In particular, check that you've calibrated shrinkage on your filament. PLA often shrinks very slightly, and the tolerances between this and the Centec Quick-Click hose are very tight. If you print it even 0.7% too small, it will be very hard to disconnect the hose. Ask me how I know this. ;-)
When in doubt, consider printing just the top 5mm or so (using the Cut function in your slicer) – or the entire Centec base model I remixed this from – and making sure that slides freely on and off your hose. If not, measure and adjust.
- I used Elegoo PLA+ specifically, but any traditional PLA or PETG (or a fancier material) should be fine. I would not use a silk or matte PLA since this will be stressed along the axis of layer adhesion.
- I recommend 3 walls (it'll be compressed in the tool) but infill basically doesn't matter. I used 10%.
- The part is intended to print in the orientation it appears in the STEP file, that is, with the wide vacuum end down. This ensures that it can print without support, and presents the most surface area to the bed for adhesion.

Differences of the remix compared to the original
I took the base adapter design from @poprhythm and extended it with a low profile vacuum adapter flare.
