Description

PDF

This is a durable, customizable handle designed for 3D printing. It features holes sized for metal threaded inserts for extra strength, making it perfect for tool handles, knobs, or drawer pulls. The included step files and stl files are for both a 3.00" and 4.375" center to center mounting pattern and the inserts are sized for 8-32 threads but all can be customized as detailed below.  I used these 8-32 threaded inserts from amazon and you'll need a soldering iron or such to install them. The included models do NOT have the text on them.

Files Included

  • STL for standard size (4.375" Mounting Hole Center to Center) (No Text)
  • Step File Included
  • Link to fully parametric Onshape version (free)

How to Customize
If you'd like to change the size or hole dimensions:
1. Open the Onshape link provided.
2. Locate the variable feature (fx symbol) at the top left.
3. Change values like Hole_CenterToCenter, insertDiameter, or insertDepth and “Text” to add your custom text to the front. You can also suppress the “text” sketch to remove any text from the front.
4. The model will update automatically.
5. Export your customized STL for printing.

*Note: You’ll need a free Onshape account to edit variables.*
