Hydroponic Lid Adapter: Gamma2 Bucket Lids

The Gamma2 buckets come with a screwable lid (vs lids that “snap” on) and a cross section directly through the center.  This is an adapter which connects to the Modular Hydroponic Tower https://www.printables.com/model/720081-modular-hydroponic-tower.  The bottom of the adapter is slanted slightly to allow appropriate water drainage into bucket below.  The center & bottom of the adapter has a pass-through which will drain water into the bucket (not onto the lid).

Supports Required.  

The bottom of adapter can receive 4 threaded inserts (M4) (see rendered photos - hence, the build-up of material in the 4 quadrants).  Directly above the insert holes is a smaller hole for drilling pilots through the adapter into the lid – for correctly spacing the holes in the lid which the M4 bolts will pass through.  

Sequence: 

1. Print Adapter
2. Use hole saw to cut hold in center of “Gamma2” lid > 42mm (I used a 2 1/8" one)
3. Place adapter on lid & drill pilot holes through lid
4. Install threaded inserts in adapter
5. Mount adapter to lid
