Six-cylinder spark plug tray for aircraft spark plugs. Has “REMOVE TOP” and “INSTALL TOP” debossed text to aid in plug rotation order, as well as cylinder numbers. As you remove spark plugs place them in their respective numbered holes (1-top, 1-bottom, etc.) while “REMOVE TOP” is right-side-up. When you are ready to reinstall them, rotate the tray so “INSTALL TOP” is right-side-up and then install them in the cylinders as numbered. This conforms to the recommended plug rotation pattern.
Printed top-down on the build plate with PETG for chemical resistance. When you slice it, print the first couple of debossed text layers in a color contrasting to the rest. This will not print on a Prusa Mini without cutting it in half and gluing the two halves, but will print on a Prusa Mk3 or larger. The photo is one I printed on a mini and split in half. I printed a simple rectangular “bar“ and glued it lengthwise un the underside to reinforce the joint that I had to add to make it printable on the smaller build plate.
This tray has been stable when loaded with plugs, but always make sure to avoid dropping them.
