This is a model of a screw top container that I designed. Could be used for anything, but my main design purpose was so that it fits 50 00 size capsules. I make my own dietary supplements and needed a nice way to store them and to have them ready to go.
If you want to store powders or liquids inside, make sure that you print in lower layer heights to make the container truly liquid-proof (3wall model as is id fine in 0.2mm and does not leak, but that is on my printer).
The container itself is 20-ish grams, to be printed without supports, done in 30 min on fast coreXY printers.
The lid has many variations, from plain to different texts. Feel free to let me update text “labels” and add more variety. How do you achieve multicolor without AMS you ask? EASY!!!
You will print text first and then lisd over that text!!!
Step 1: - please use Orcaslicer or follow along and try to translate what I'm about to say to your slicer of choice
Step 2: - Put lids in the slicer first, orient them top side down and place them in a wy that you know their exact coordinates and in a place of a printbed where Z homing/probing won't happen (for me it was anywhere but the middle).
Step 3: - insert text file and orient it upside down
Step 4: - put text file in the same coordinates as the lid
Step 5: - add Z hop of 0.6mm (this is important to avoid collisions)
Step 5.1: - disable brims, skirts and support!!!!!
Step 6: - in Objects tab untick lids, let text remain visible and slice.
Step 7: - print text and after the print is done set bed temp to be 60 for PLA or 70 for PETG so the text dies not get unstuck.
Step 8: - change filament to second color for the lid
Step 9: - in Objects tab tick lids and untick text, slice.
Step 10: print!!!
