This is a self-balancing mount for the DJI RC2 remote controller, designed to let it hang level when attached to a neck strap. It consists of two plastic arms that screw into the existing mounting holes on the controller. Each arm has a hole for a neck strap (4mm in diameter), shifting the center of gravity so the controller stays horizontal—even when not held in hand.

Also included is a small model to insert an M4x20mm hex nut and convert a standard M4 screw into a thumb screw. This makes it easy to attach and remove the arms on the go—no tools needed.

Ideal for drone pilots who want hands-free access to their screen while keeping the controller steady and visible.

needed parts:

  • M4x20mm hex-screw
  • rope (approx. Ø4mm diameter)

printing:

  • PLA is fine but PETG propably better
  • print in full perimeters or 100% infill
  • minimum 0.2mm layer height (0.1mm recommended)
  • supports: I recommend to use supports for the hex inserts and screw holes on the arms (organic)
  • use a brim if you dont have the best adhesion

assembling:

  • put the screws in place (you might have to use a bit force for them to properly fit)
  • put the rope through the holes and make a knot on the flat end side of the arm (if you use a synthetic rope you can burn the ends to melt them)
