Side car is a handy fishing storage aid for your boat. If you are using a drop weight / snap-on weight and a paddle flasher, you will love the side car. Holds your bait, ball and flasher securely while you transit. Cut-outs also hold two power-bait jars (standard size fishing bait jars). Mounts provided for scotty and folbe receptacles (not included - those are probably already mounted on your boat).
Assembly requires a 12-24 screw and 12-24 nyloc nut. The top part has rotational freedom - this is a design choice that makes the printed part more resilient to getting bumped into. Choose the post style (scotty or folbe) that is appropriate for your boat.
When printing the posts, use 6 perimeters and PETG or ABS. I like to make the part of the post that is sandwiched into the bait holder body fully solid (the included slicer files already have the modifier that does that).
Small 1-inch S hooks (fairly standard sized) can be inserted while the two halves of the bait holder are assembled. It is the stainless S hook that holds the ball/weight. Here is a link where I got my hooks on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Connectors-S-Shaped-Ornament-Equipment/dp/B08DMYT67F?pd_rd_w=hGGuI&content-id=amzn1.sym.9de392ec-b470-4211-949c-4070cecfa24a&pf_rd_p=9de392ec-b470-4211-949c-4070cecfa24a&pf_rd_r=TDKRXEXW46WHFPVDH1CD&pd_rd_wg=pTzrQ&pd_rd_r=8bb723e2-a377-48f3-8d98-90bfaca8e0e4&pd_rd_i=B08DMYT67F&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_d_rpt_ba_s_1_t
The screw is a 1-inch round headed phillips 12-24 screw. Use a matching 12-24 sized nyloc nut, and it will fit i nto the recess perfectly.
