The measurements on the STL files are top measurements to base measurements (38.5mm apart) if measuring a square tang.  Triangle (or hex) and circle tangs will need to compensate as they will fit more loosely.

Slicer Settings:

  • Perimeters: 4
  • In File: 15%
  • Supports: none
  • Seam: Random (with Fuzzy Skin)
  • Fuzzy Skin (Prusa Slicer):
    • Thickness: 0.3mm
    • Point Dist: 0.3mm

I like the look and feel without the base of the handle having fuzzy skin.  If you use Prusa Slicer, you can set the paint on skin “Smart fill angle” to 5 degrees to get a good line (see picture).  Then fill in the rest as needed.

Parametrized models in OnShape if you'd like to play around.  Currently the document is called “Wera_Tool_Handles”.
