Prevent blow-out on the back side of your workpieces with this simple solution. It clips right into the “half-circle” recess in the middle of the fence bracket. Once clipped in, unclamp both side fences and pull them inward, until each fence captures the “ears” of the insert. Lock your fences in position and you're ready to start cutting.
In testing, this worked great, but I discovered if you make a lot of angled cuts, this will expand the kerf line and you'll be back to having a bit of tearout. Solution: print multiples, and keep one dedicated for straight-on 90 degree cuts.
Printed using Bambo PETG-HF, face down (fence face down), with supports, three wall loops, and 30% gyroid infill.
Why is this so cool?
The author remixed this model.
Remix of @Dudadz3d's Zero Clearance Fence Insert for the Kapex 120 REB, designed to fit the KS 120 EB fence. Be sure to print the version that is compatible with your saw, as the fences are different.
