Our oven display doesn't work, so I bought this BBQ thermometer. I glued magnets to the oven and thermometer. But I think the heat from the oven was too much for the glue and the thermometer. Other issues we had was always accidentally knocking off the thermometer by opening the adjacent cupboard door too wide, and the cable didn't have a good place to rest, and got jammed in doors and eventually broke.
So back to the drawing board again.
This time I will attach it beside the oven on the cabinet door, and inset far enough that it doesn't get knocked off when opening the door. I will also have a little channel to route the cable so it has less room to move around.
This was designed in OnShape. I know none of you actually need this item. But you can take the concept and edit it to suit your needs.
