I made the adapter after upgrading my stem. My new handlebars didn't come in the mail yet and i had a group ride scheduled for the weekend. after mounting make sure the slit is at the top of the stem. also make sure that it is properly clamped down. this should be printed out of ABS/PETG/PC (some non brittle material) WITH AT LEAST 4 PERIMETERS. I have been riding the adapter for about 2 weeks now. it has survived light-medium trail riding (braking hard, a small drop or 2 but no jumps). If you need this in a pinch to get you riding… it works, good.
I wouldn't suggest using 25.4mm bars for any very hard riding, let alone those bars with an adapter. But if you are riding in a city or on xc/all mountain trails you should be OK.
Please note that i shall not be held responsible for any injury or damage caused to yourself others, your personal property or others property. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Having said that, have a great day and happy riding :)
