So… I decided to roll with the Gardena Micro-Drip System, but because I like to make life harder and more fun, I’m hanging it in mid-air like some kind of hydroponic wizard. That’s why this holder is long enough to double as a lightsaber handle (unconfirmed).
Bonus points: it also fits a 16mm tube, so if you’re using another gravity-fed micro-drip system — boom, compatibility mode activated.
⚠ Disclaimer: This is my V1 prototype — aka “It prints, but I’m afraid to touch it.” Fusion 360 file is uploaded for anyone who wants to tweak it, remix it, or completely ignore my design intent and make it into a drone part. You do you.
Printed in [insert your favorite PLA/ABS/PETG that hasn’t clogged your nozzle this week].
Feels sturdy, but as always: layer adhesion giveth, and gravity taketh away.
If it breaks, that’s not a bug, it’s a feature.
If it works? That’s gardening with benefits.
If your plants start asking for firmware updates — run.
Stay hydrated, both you and your tomatoes.
Happy printing, fellow filament farmers! 🧵🌿💦
