Ikea Nattapa Adapter

We bought the Ikea Kura bed for our son. 

The bed is setup in "regular bed" so it's not a bunk bed. Ikea Nattapa is "compatible" but only when in bunk bed. 

The rails for the bed-slats are stopping the Nattapa from clamping properly
