Filament Dryer Guide

Photo shows it on an angled fitting but it should be usable without it.  Can be used for different orientations and angles.

I wanted to feed to the printer from above but the friction in the stock setup was to high sometimes snapping filament.  I tried to get it working with a modified angle setup https://www.printables.com/model/1035587-comgrowsovol-sh02-dryer-filament-guide-fix but for various reasons its limited to 30-45deg.

In reality all it needs is this simple guide though the angled adapter does help with internal filament alignment.

If there is any interest it might be worth doing a less extreme (dificult to fit) angled adaptor and various angled flexy guides. Let me know.

Printing:

• It might be easier to print it standing up but it is worth printing it on its side as it will be a lot tougher in bending. A lot of flex is built in.

Update:

• Apr'25:  Strengthened the thread and slightly reduced angel on the angled guide.  Should be a lot simpler to install and stronger.  The extreme angle tended to load up thread and snap it.
