I relocated my filament spool to the right side using moodyswing's model for the Reinforced Side Spool Holder and noticed that the spool had a tendency to rub on the screen a bit. I didn't want to relocate my screen to above the printer base because I want to leave that open for a bin.

In comes the spacer plate! It lifts the screen just enough to be completely out of the way of a standard spool.

There are 2 options:

  1. Single piece print
    • WILL REQUIRE SUPPORTS
  2. Three pieces (plate and 2x pins)
    • REQUIRES 2x SCREWS that can self-tap into a 3mm diameter hole
    • I designed these specifically for standard PC fan screws, but others should work fine as long as they're ~6mm in length (designed with 6.5mm thread depth)

I recommend 4+ walls if you print the 3-piece set since tapping threads is required. At least on my print, fitment to the screen was a tad tight, but it worked without issue. Filing/sanding the top rails should do the trick if the plate won't slide onto the screen without excessive force.

Printed with Creality Hyper PLA on an Ender-3 V3 SE: .4mm nozzle with .2mm layer height, 4 walls and 20% infill.
