Technical Details:
The Smartphone Jail combines ease of use with clever engineering. At its heart is an Arduino Pro Micro microcontroller, directly controlling an MG995 servo motor to securely lock and unlock the lid. Power is efficiently managed through two 18650 lithium-ion batteries, charged via a TP4056 module, and converted to a stable 5V using a step-up voltage converter. A compact 0.91-inch 128x32 I²C OLED display clearly indicates lock status and timer settings. The durable housing is 3D-printed from PETG, featuring a robust hinge mechanism built around a 6mm solid aluminum tube. All necessary pin assignments are clearly documented in the included source code, making it easy for you to replicate and customize your own Smartphone Jail.
