If you want a truly silent 3D Printer, you need to replace the stock PSU fan with a silent one like the ones from Noctua. This isn't a simple conversion, but it's worth it.

It is necessary to use higher feet like these: https://www.printables.com/model/436220-ender-3-s1-pro-specific-squash-ball-feet-screwed-i

You will need:

  • 1x Printed part (from PETG/ABS/ASA)
  • 7x short (4mm) M3 threaded inserts
  • 3x M3x25 bolts and washers
  • 24 V 80mm fan
  • A Dremel or similar

Assembly:

Caution: working around high voltage and capacitors can be dangerous, don't touch the internals of the PSU and if you don't know what you're doing, keep your fingers away from this conversion.

  1. Insert the threaded inserts into the the print
  2. Take the bottom of your Ender 3 S1 and take out the PSU
  3. Replace the lid of the PSU with the printed part
  4. Place the PSU back into the printer and fix it
  5. Cut out a part of the bottom panel of your printer, so that you can attach the fan from the underside of the printer (there needs to be a slit for the fan cable to go into the machine) and that the exhaust slides are open. (you can refer to the dxf for this step)
  6. Strip the wires of the fan and put them into the 24v outlet of the PSU
  7. Put the bottom panel back on the printer and screw everything down
  8. Using the M3 bolts and washers attach the 80mm fan to the underside of the printer

If this mod helped you, please upload a make and/or like, thanks!
