I got fed up with my old X52 and decided to spring for a set of VPC sticks, but couldn't find any good mounting solutions for them. This mount is designed for a 45x45 aluminium slot profile and will pretty much not allow any unintended movement of the stick.
To make it stable, only really 2 or 3 screws are necessary, but I've added holes all over in case you can't use one side.
You'll need:
— For the mount —
— For the stick base —
This model is designed for the WarBRD-D base, but it might be compatible with the MongoosT-50CM3. For some reason Virpil only shows the screw distance for the WarBRD, but both bases seem to be the exact same size. Worst case scenario, it should be easy to remix it so it fits.
To install the mount onto the base, first unscrew the factory M4x12 screws and remove the metal plate, and just screw the mount in.
I made the mount before I got the sticks, and the only measurements I could take were from the manual on Virpil's site, so there's a bit of a gap between the edge of the mount and the base wall, but it shouldn't cause problems. If you're concerned about dust buildup, just tape it over.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
