Pool Vacuum Hose Connector

Modelled after the MacGyvered connector my dad made from an old hose end of the correct OD for the skimmer plate and some good old bloody mindedness (jubilee clip), here is a connector that works. It even has a detent for the jubilee clip if needed for strength.

Printed just straight upright it seems well strong enough. I think you are trying very hard if you manage to split the inlet side jamming the hose in (use a jubilee clip / cable clamp if you are worried), or snap off the outlet side pulling it out of the skimmer. I printed it with 4 walls and 100% rectilinear infill - just to avoid ending up with a stack of concentric circles.
