Delta Shower Head Lowering Adapter

Background

My new shower head mounted way too high for our shower, so I designed this adapter to lower it.  The geometry of the handle is very organic and difficult to replicate, so I 3D scanned the shower head for a perfect fit.

Shower head model used is the Delta 2.5GPM 75413DSN

Print Settings

• Material of choice.  PETG will likely hold up better, but my adapter, which started as a test made from PLA, has been working fine. 
• 3+ perimeters for added strength
• 0.2mm structural profile

Install

To make install easier, I offset the mating face 1mm to account for the thickness of ~1mm thick mounting tape:

1. Cut 3 strips 10mmx25mm from high strength mounting tape 
2. Place strips on side and back of handle where the mount will be installed
3. Slide mount up handle and over the strips, then squeeze to secure
