I wanted to be able to 3D Print labels for my drives that were removable. If a drive goes I don't want to reprint the whole drive tray by printing right on it. After a few iterations I was able to come up with a design that allows printing the sleighs and labels without supports, and have a tight snap fit for the label, and left room for the drive retainer to still fit as intended.
My labels shows drives brand/model (western digital red), drive size and last chunk of serial number.
All settings and prints were done with a calibrate Bambu Lab A1, results may vary from printers, but here is all my info so you can copy and adjust as needed.
DRIVE SLEIGH
Printed on Bambu Lab A1 using a 0.4mm nozzle set to the default “0.20mm Strength” preset. Printed in Bambu Lab Black TPU (AMS)
DRIVE LABELS
Printed on Bambu Lab A1 using 0.4mm nozzle set to the "0.12mm High Quality" preset in Bambu Lab PLA Matte White and PLA Matte Black with the following changes
- Ironing > Top Surfaces
- Ironing Flow > 20 %
