When building a small house for my cat I looked for the design to quickly align and join sticks into a simple structure. I stumbled on woodworking crafts and found heaps of interesting joints. As woodworking is a subtractive manufacturing, overhangs and similar elements are not a problem. I try to avoid this in 3D printing. With this in mind I designed the 3-Way Joint that is symmetric and 3D print friendly.
The design is meant to be glued together.
In case one prefers to use the dowel pins to fix the joint the design without chamfered edge might be more practical.
In future I may post also a design with filleted edges.
