Ham radio operators have long used surplus military masts for temporary antenna or light supports for Field Day and other activities. They are easy to put up, rugged and transportable. Masts are typically four (4) foot in length sections, and slide into each other. But masts can range between three (3) and five (5) feet. One can stack the masts up one by one to get the desired height.
This tripod adapter can accept mast pieces to form the base to support vertical mast pieces. The adapter base can be weighted or staked down for additional stability. More details are provided in the PDF. Excellent results were achived with PETG printed with 30% infill, 4 perimeters and no supports necessary. One of the goal was to keep the filament required under 500g to allow printing two units from a single 1kg spool.
