RoboForce Magnet Base

This is an optional bottom half that can be used for the RoboForce figures I've been re-designing and printing at ⅔ scale of the original toys. It's designed to fit 10mm x 2mm rare earth magnets in the provided interior slots. However, smaller diameter magnets can also be used and stacked for the desired magnetic force and hot glued into place.

I've included the separated pieces to print with “multi-color” names for multi-color printers for the silver accents shown in the photo here. Otherwise, the standard Bottom and Middle can be printed in one color and painted later. 

The Magnet Middle is the only piece that can benefit from supports. It should still print ok without them, but best results if they're used. The other parts can be printed in the existing orientation without brim or supports.

Assembly: 

Insert two 10mm x 2mm rare earth disc magnets into the Magnet Bottom. They should press-fit firmly for maximum magnetic force through the bottom. Smaller diameter magnets can also be used, but I recommend stacking two or more to retain the force needed to hold the figure on metal surfaces. Use some hot glue or super glue to hold the magnets in place before assembling the middle and top pieces. Glue the Magnet Bottom and Magnet Middle pieces together next.

There are holes on the left and right sides of the Top and Middle pieces. These allow you to press small lengths of 1.75mm filament into place when assembling top and middle. I used red and blue pieces in the photos here. Gently bend the filament pieces into arcs before inserting and assembling. They shouldn't need glue once pressed together.

Once assembled the 10mm x 2mm magnets will have enough force to hold the standard RoboForce printed figures from metal surfaces.
