This is a simple clip-on mount to hold an Arducam on the Prusa CORE One light bar.

I used an Arducam IMX519 with a 140°(D) Wide Angle M12 Lens and positioned it to monitor the nozzle while homing and heating. This particular camera has a fixed manual focus lens so not as useful for print monitoring, but other Arducam models may be suited for other purposes.

The ribbon cable is thin enough it can be routed out the door without impeding it closing, or if you can source a long enough cable it could be routed out the back.

There is a slot in the bottom the camera can rest in but the sides are positioned such that the camera can friction fit between them. I did not put slots on the side so the camera could be tilted slightly if needed. There is enough space that the top of the camera can be behind the light bar to get a good angle on the nozzle depending on your exact camera/lens.

The space is very constrained as it cannot be much thicker on the front or back or it could impact the hotend or keep the door from closing. The part that clips over the front can't extend down much more or it either won't fit or blocks light. So it's a challenge to make it fit but this ticked enough boxes for me after 6+ iterations of different styles.

Print Instructions

Print in PETG or something with higher temperature tolerance since it's in the chamber.

Supports enabled for the build plate only.

Easiest way to print is with the two “legs” on the print bed as the model is naturally. Less supports that way.

Usage

Tilt it slightly upward while pushing it onto the light bar and then rotate it down so the front part catches last. Position the camera as needed.

Future Revisions

Ideas for future revisions/remixes could include:

  • Slightly thicker top with magnet recesses for a stronger hold
  • Clip(s) or slot(s) to help route the ribbon cable out the side
