Shoe Dryer

This project was created so I can easily dry multiple pairs of climbing shoes, and I needed an excuse to make a custom solution. It works well at drying climbing shoes and also works with street shoes.

Each unit is 3D printed, and requires a fan, power supply, knurled inserts and a few M4 screws to put together. I added a timer relay so I can press the “start” button and it'll turn off automatically in a set time (~6hrs).

Parts List

  • 50mm 5015 Blower Fan 24V
  • DROK Time Delay Relay
  • 2A 12V - 24V power supply (12v is much quieter, but less air flow)
  • Power barrel jack (optional, or just cut the power supply leads)
  • Various wire (~22 gauge)
  • M4 screws (per unit: 2x 25mm, 3x 8mm, 1x 12mm)
  • Wood/mounting screw (per unit: 2x small wood screw)
  • M4 knurled brass inserts
  • Screw Terminal Block (optional)
  • JST Connector Kit 2.54mm 2 Pin (pigtail for fan) (optional)
