ModCase Dock Mount for Forida Hub

🧱 General Overview:

This model is a snap-in mount bracket designed to securely affix the Forida USB-C Docking Hub to the rear rail system of the Jsaux ModCase for the Steam Deck. It enables flat, low-profile mounting while still giving access to ports and heat dissipation. The mount uses the center rail groove of the ModCase for universal fitment.

📐 Dimensions & Fitment:

Dock Base Mount Ring (Snug Housing):

Outer Circumference: 2.76 inches (~70.1mm)

Inner Diameter: Sized for a snug fit to the Forida hub’s bottom (approx. 22mm thickness)

Height: 8–10mm to capture the dock base without blocking ports

Rear Mount Plate (ModCase Interface):

Rail Mount Style: Center groove clip-on (universal fit)

Mount Plate Dimensions: ~75mm (W) x 35mm (H)

Thickness: 4mm with rail engagement teeth (~2mm deep)

Optional Screw Holes: 2x holes (2mm) at corners for optional bolting to ModCase if needed

🔩 Mounting Method:

Primary Attachment: Center rail clip that slides and locks into ModCase rail

Secondary Attachment (optional): Two mounting pegs or M2 screw holes for permanent install

🧊 Cooling & Clearance:

Raised Dock Ring has a cutout underneath to allow airflow

Open Bottom Cavity to avoid trapping heat from the Forida hub

Relief Slots on either side for cable clearance (particularly HDMI and Ethernet)

Material: PETG or ABS (for heat tolerance)

Infill: 40–50% for strength
