I noticed an issue with my ZeroG Mercury1.One which is that overhangs on the front of the model were often saggy because they were not cooled properly with the stock part cooling duct.
I’ve had success on custom printheads I’ve designed in the past with quad cooling, so I made this.
I’ve not done benchmarks or flow tests, but with a hand under the nozzle it feels like there’s still slightly more pressure from the rear ducts than the front ducts, however that may be due to my twin 5015 setup and the way 5015s distribute air. In real world tests over the past few months though it performs significantly better than the factory one when it comes to uniform cooling and overhangs.
The duct opening in the back where it connects to the backplate is larger due to some modifications on my specific machine. It shouldn't affect anything.
The author remixed this model.
