Surface model of a complex between the T7 RNA polymerase, DNA, and RNA from PDBID:1MSW. Each chain (RNA, the two DNA strands, and the polymerase itself ) can be printed separately with different colors or materials. At least one of the components (protein or nucleic acids) needs to be printed in flexible TPU in order to be able to re-assemble the complex.
In the pictured examples:
A. white protein was printed in TPU, while the nucleic acids were printed in PLA - DNA was printed in grey and copper, RNA and blue;
B. dark grey protein was printed in PLA, while the nucleic acids were printed in white TPU.
The model was created to assist in teaching Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Pre- and Postprocessing Instructions
Printed at 0.2 resolution with 2 wall lines and 5% infill. I have used concentric supports and found them to be easier to remove. At least one of the components (protein or nucleic acids) needs to be printed in flexible TPU in order to be able to re-assemble the complex.
