08/08/22 I Have reprinted the redesigned version in CF Nylon, no more heat sag or softening also the LEDS 24v didnt last at 24v so have re done them with a 12v supply pics included

Ok redesigned and Final

So having downloaded and printed several Hot end fan shrouds and used a Satsana version for a while, then customised that.

Ive now designed one from the plate up. taken some little ideas from the ones ive used over the last 12 months and put together one I like and suites my setup!

Im well pleased with this its my best design to date and its as compact as a 2x40/20 fan shroud could be and still looks as aesthetically pleasing as it can be ( for me anyhow) :D

Required:

M3 inserts x8 M3 bolts 25mm x8 M3 bolt 10mm x2 (longer CR touch bolts required to allow the 6mm bracket) 40x20 Noctua fans x2 LED's x2 3mm (the mounts do allow with a bit of patience the LED's with resistors soldered to them through the holes)

I only print in PETG now, print cooling not fundamental for me and I have a full custom fan control set up on my printer so i dont feel the need for twin coolers, so have dedicated the other side to illumination of the print zone with LED mounts

11 hrs print 0.3 230'c 80'c PETG

support touching build plate only need, also recommend XY support gap is 0.8mm or above plenty of room help get support out clean block all sides they dont need any support

Ive left a little wiggle room on the bracket allowing to level it up a long allen key is required for which ever M3

The fans are slightly noisier with the smaller holed fan covers, hence the larger design, posted both so preference to either.

NOTE:

Been on 3 days, just finished a 30 hrs print, perfect, but led's are suffering a little sag and when they were warm ive had to push them back into there holes, but theyve settled in with a tiny bit of droop but are fine. I will at some point tweak the design and fix this.

Added version 2 have added a reinforcement plate to both cooler duct and LED's to hopefully stop heat sag, and also sculpted the cooler fan ducting to reduce the turbulence noise when the fans in use at higher RPM.
