Land Rover / Range Rover Key Fob Battery Tray / Holder

The Battery tray for the Land Rover / Range Rover key can be easily broken - specifically the lugs can break off (as on the left-hand one in the photos). The tray component is not available as a spare part so this print could save you a great deal of money.

I modeled this replacement in Fusion.

The part was oriented as shown in the slicer photos so needed support.  The door face is slightly curved so there are no flat faces to utilise as a print base.  Furthermore, the lugs are an important feature so I chose to print it as shown rather than “flatten” the design of the door face to use as a base.

I used PETG-CF with PLA support in my Prusa XL multi-head so as to give a nice clean finish to the tray base.  I guess it would work fine with PETG and PETG support but would likely need a bit of careful finishing off.
