Welcome to the 2025 The KillaKwads Conduit Whoop Gate Project new gates drop!!

Featuring a bunch of new parts and a bunch of updates and upgrades. What will YOU create with these new parts?

Back in the long long ago Luke Turner designed a simple printable WhoopGate, for Whoop racing,  that used very inexpensive 16mm oval electrical conduit. We loved this this cheap conduit concept and created a set of building blocks that used the same conduit to create hex and square race gates. Over time this has evolved and been added to. But none of this would exist without Luke's initial inspiration. 

The KillaKwads Conduit Whoop Gate Project is intended to be a repository for the collection to be stored in and for the collection to grow. We hope it becomes a place for a community of designers to contribute. The V1 gates are, for now, still available on Thingiverse. However this is the new release, exclusive to Printables. Updated, and many new designs added. This will be the new home of the project. 

The 16mm oval conduit can be purchased “on the high street” in 2m lengths, very cheaply. But beware, not all conduit is the same quality. (At time of writing B&Q appears to supply the best product)

LED strips can be fitted either inside or on the outside of the conduit. There are wiring gaps built into many of the parts. The only limit is your own creativity!

As the conduit is supplied in 2m lengths it reduces offcuts to build square gates with 50cm conduit lengths and hex gates with 20cm conduit lengths. This has become somewhat of a preference/standard and will create brilliantly flyable sized gates of about the same opening size (See comparison pic), that will fit in the boot of your car.  BUT, we've also built celling hung hex gates with 1 meter sides for some venues! Build what works for you!

If you use these designs to set yourself up a whoop gate shop and profit from our work. No two ways about it, you're a dick. Sadly we have taken the decision to set the licence for these parts as both “non-commercial” and “No derivatives”. All submissions to the project will thus be covered under the same protection. If you have the means of production and distribution and are interested in a partnership, please do reach out to us to discuss. 

These designs are provided ‘as is’ for the benefit of the community and to promote the growth of the hobby and enjoyment of flight. We would love you to join in with the project. Whether you just use the parts, or you come up with ideas for new parts. Just treat the project, the designers, and their work respectfully…… Don't be a dick.
