Tired of struggling to carry crates on your bike? This 3D-printed holder provides a secure and convenient way to transport them on your luggage rack. Disclaimer: While it holds a crate, I am not responsible for any unexpected beverage-related spills or wobbly adventures. Ride at your own risk (and maybe avoid cobblestones).
Feel free to contact me if you need any adjustments to the design.
The width from side to side of the rails is roughly 95mm and the diameter of the pipes is 13mm.
Attaching a full crate like this drastically changes the weight distribution and therefore the handling of your bike! Please be extra careful when using it and consider using additional straps to secure it in place. It can get really wobbly.
I am not responsible for any kind of accident!
For optimal strength and durability, especially when carrying heavy crates, PETG is strongly recommended. While PLA might work, PETG offers significantly better impact resistance and flexibility.
I printed this design using a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height, but a standard 0.4mm nozzle will work perfectly fine.
Crucially, use a high number of walls and a high infill percentage (40% or more) for maximum structural integrity.
