ExtraEdge is a Talon magazine bumper that extends the basic 15-round Talon mag capacity by +5. This is a version 2 refresh of the original and adds better fitment security and more durability with reinforced corner impact bumps, all while embracing a more simplified look for cleaner aesthetic matching.

Instructions:
  • Minimum settings are 3-wall, 0-10%-infill
  • It's a tight installation; press the magazine with bumper against the floor with even force (you should feel positive confirmation that it's locked in. Top of bumper should be right up against logo, see second photo.)
  • For better feeding, stretch your spring to 12.5 inches (31.75cm).
  • Do not overload your mags beyond 20 rounds. All mag springs should have some relaxed slack when fully loaded. Otherwise, if fully compressed, it fatigues and permanent sets over time losing tension. These v2 bumpers are longer to accommodate this.
  • Not recommended to repeatedly remove bumpers as that wears the nub
  • On installation, make sure the bumper isn't catching a coil of your spring between the gap to the mag. It's rare but explains jams.

In addition there is a “+2” variant meant for Worker 18-round curved magazines to round them off to 20 total as well. See Extras folder.

Under the Extras folder, there is also an alternative +5 variant dubbed "InfinityEdge" that lets you keep your original base plates. It can even be paired with every combination of other existing Talon accessory bumpers (like the GFZ) or loops (ranger plates) on the market. Because this variant profile is the same as a Talon, it can even connect to itself and extend again, provided you can find a long enough spring (like Kodas or Tachis).

Changelog:

[2025-04-10] Created

[2025-11-04] V2.1. Bigger impact bumps. Added a cutout at the inner corners to permit better flexure for insertion; some mags have sharp corners so this accommodates that better. Slightly deeper detent hooks for better security.
