Warning:

Before printing make sure that this mount will fit under the platter. Your turntable will probably have to be partially disassembled to route the wires in a correct manner. The mount itself is held in place with double sided tape. I have designed the mount to fit a vintage Technics SL1710 (SL1700 variant). Owners of a vintage SL1600, SL1700 and SL1800 can use the mount as is.

Description:

A mount that lets you light up a turntable platter from below. It is designed for a 10mm wide LED strip.

Hardware:

A 5V addressable strip that lets you control individual LEDs was used but you can also use a generic RGB strip. A controller can be made out of an ESP32 or ESP8266 board but these need some soldering done as they don't output 5 volt.

For a quick solution check out the Gledopto WLED controller. It a pre-made ESP8266 suitable for addressable LED strips. A WLED app  can be used to control the LED strip. Stay clear of cheap infrared controllers as I haven't  received a single one that worked.

Making it fit:

The easiest way to make it fit your own turntable is to just scale the 3mf. I have included a f3d and step file for the people that want to tweak it some more.
