3kg dry box spool storage support polydryer optimized to print any printer bed bigger than 210mm

I couldn't find an elegant 3kg dry box spool storage, so I decided to make my own, inspired by a smaller dry box already existing.

The profiles are all prepared; just print them and assemble, no support is needed 

I split the design into parts for ease of printing on any printer with a bed 230 and up Also, there's a full size if your printer can print big

 added a new version compatible with Polymaker polydryer. Remember if you do this version, print with petg or ABS for temperature resistance (the only change I did here is the base part to adapt polydryer  you can still combine it with the previous version

After extensive testing, I found that while the current rollers work well with all my DIY printers, the Bambu Lab A1 had difficulty pulling filament reliably. To solve this, I redesigned the roller system for near-zero friction. The new design simplifies the mechanism and allows the spool to roll directly on ball bearings, which significantly improves performance — the A1 can now pull filament smoothly with no issues.

🛠 If you've already printed the older base, don’t worry — no need to reprint everything!
I've added a small upgrade part that you can print and attach to your existing base. You can either super glue it or screw it into the bottom of your current setup.

Folder: Button part SMOOTHER spool roller update – contains the full updated version

Folder: UPGRADE the older version with a Smoother roller – contains the add-on part for upgrading existing builds

⚠ Spool Width Compatibility:

Full update version: spool width must be between 91 mm and 105 mm

Upgrade version: spool width must be between 88 mm and 104 mm

The .3mf is made for ORCA SLICER if you want doe Bambu studio  I have a version uploaded in Maker world, too. You might want to see is as a reference and see where to add support or needs more wall reinforcement 

You will need 

about 20 M3 nuts 

2 M3-22 mm or longer for  upper and  lower body hinge

4 ballbearings 608zz or 608Rs.

1 hygrometer

For laches, you may need 

•  1 M3-40mm screw (or longer )
• 2 M3-25mm 
• couple of m3-14mm or longer 

 For assembling spliced parts, you will need ..

• about 20 of M3-10 screws and 20 M3 nuts to lock the screws
• (super glue  alternative)
