Several times in the past year, something in my pocket pushed the buttons in my keyfob… which resulted in my trunk opening (several times into the closed garage door). I got sick of this so I searched high and low for a Mercedes Smartkey keyfob cover to no avail.

I discovered that someone had made a model of the key on thingiverse and started to think about how I can quickly and easily use this model for my needs:

In this remix, I simply sliced the top off the model, then scaled the model up by 10%, then enabled Spiral vase mode before printing in Prusament PetG at .30 layer height. The resulting key fob cover pops over the key with a satisfying pop, then stays on the key. Only downside is the buttons CAN still be pressed and the cover isn't super sturdy. I'm hoping it will make it HARDER for the buttons to be pressed so I don't have a repeat.

My 11 & 9 year old sons had made a bukier version of this from scratch in tinkercad, but theirs was a bit too bulky.

Anyway, the attached 3MF file is set up for Prusament PetG and has all the settings needed for a good print.
