I have a clear wall on my enclosure, and I like the Prusa Research logo, and there was this huge black space with nothing...
So I added the Prusa Research logo (70mm wide)
You need to print the cover. I put a support under the big place where you put the ‘research plate’ so the plastic doesn't fall off. I recommend increasing the distance between the support and the part so that it doesn't stick too much. I still managed to remove it with a wire cutters...
Then you print the plate with a colour change at the start of the text (use the GCODEs I supply if you wish)
All the GCODEs I supply are for the following configuration:
PLA white
PRUSAMENT PETG orange
PETG black
You can print everything at 0.3 layer height, you won't notice the difference 😉
Oh and note that you can (should?) adjust the Z scale in the slicer if your fillament drops a bit when you print the cover.
1.1mm works well with the letter
I printed the search plate with a height of 2.2mm but it was a bit high, I'd recommend printing it with a height of 2mm
For your information, there is a 1.2mm gap betwen the outstide surface of the cover and the inner part where you put letter and research plate.
Finally, put everything together, put a few dots of superglue loctite so nothing moves. And if, like me, you can't fit the letter because of the clearance, heat it slightly so that you can insert it in place!
Happy printing!
