This is a set of bumpers/mounts for the common LM2596 Arduino buck converters. It's made for the module dimensions 43mm x 21mm. The XL6009 step up converter also fits perfectly. There's ample space under the board for the soldering points, and the base protects the board from any possible short circuits.
All the models print without supports. The mounting screw holes have knockout skins so that the nut traps don't need to be supported. The nut traps are purposely tight so the nuts have to be pulled in with a screw. This prevents them from falling out before you've screwed the board in place. The board is held in place by two M3 10mm screws and two M3 nuts. (Frankly, one is enough!)
There is an arrow printed on the side of the bumper to show at a glance the direction of current flow. (so don't mount it like I did in the photo!!!)
The basic design without any mounting holes is just to give the module a little more protection on the workbench, but I've also included two versions with mounting lugs for M3 cylinder head screws and for small countersink woodscrews.
This is part of a series of bumpers and mounts for accessory modules.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
