Description:
This is a cover for the SV06 ACE/PLUS ACE mainboard. The cover has increased thickness and additional opening for an 80mm fan with a designated depth of 15mm. The holes at the bottom allow for better airflow and can also be used to secure additional components, such as a DC-DC converter, using zip ties.
Since most fans run on 12V, you will need DC-DC converter. I lowered the voltage even more to 8V in my setup to lower the noise while still achieving better cooling than the stock solution. The average temperature dropped from 39°C to 30°C, which is a significant 9°C difference. I connected the fan directly to 24V so that it turns on together with the printer. I do not recommend connecting it to the existing fan port.
The fan used in my case is Arctic P8 Slim (80mm).
