This is currently installed on my printer for durability testing, so treat it as a WIP.
During my FYSETC Voron V0.2 Build, I had to adapt the shipped Bullant Toolhead Board to my Dragon Burner & Sherpa Micro Assembly. I borrowed the design language from the Sherpa Series and made it lightweigt. When you build a Micro, you wanna go fast!
Strain Relief for the cable is integrated, just clip it in.
Talking about fast, this thing assembled weighs around 3.5 grams.
This Mounts to the back of the NEMA 14 Motor. The short spacer mounts to the lower left screw that holds the motor. The longer spacer attaches to the lower right mounting pin of the Sherpa Micro.
The mount uses 2 heat sets on the longer prongs to screw on the Bullant Board.
We try to mkae use of the hardware from Sherpa Micro in order to save weight and simplify the design.
Make two modifications (Page Reference to Sherpa Micro Manual):
Pg. 12: Replace M3x16 with M3x20.
Pg. 18: Replace M3x14 with that M3x16.
Congrats! You got yourself a M3x14 to use in future projects.
Use heat set inserts on both side of the standoffs. Screw the spacers to the open threads on the back of the Sherpa Micro(thats why we chose longer ones), then attach the board with two M3x6 to the standoffs.
Standoffs?
"STUPID !@#$% STANDOFFS!" says even the manual (p.157). Therefore, I provided a spacer so you can use standard M3x20mm standoffs just like with the Mini Afterburner.
Printed standoff design has been simplified as the ones in the render snap easily.
