Miter saw Dust collector

OK so we all HATE dust coming off our miter saws, right?!?!?! This model will help with the dust that comes off the bottom of your saw blade. I modeled it on the Harbor Freight 10" miter saw but it may fit others on the market. For it to function correctly I built a zero clearance fence out of ¾" plywood and then just screwed it to the backside. Once installed you will need to cut the first cut into . Make sure you do that at full speed and move into the model slowly to avoid blowing it apart. 

The exhaust port is designed to fit the common 2 1/2 " flex hose.

I used one of my 2 way splitters to split the vacuum hose into a lower hose for this model and an upper hose to run to the saw's factory dust port. So once I open the gate I have suction of both hoses. 

Side note.. I feel like drilling several holes in your back fence near the zero clearance cut will aid in even more dust being collected. You have plenty of room on either side of your cut line to do this.

I printed mine @ 100% infill but it works at 25% also as my tests were printed at that infill.
