Puzzle of Escher's Mosaic I
The puzzle was traced in Graphic on the iPad. That file was cleaned up in Illustrator and prepped for printing. I used a 2 pt line around each piece, which gives about .7mm of tolerance. That makes this easy to print and assemble. Once all the lines were prepped, the lines were "expanded," and the image was saved as an SVG. That file was imported into Fusion 360 where the shapes were extruded and saved as an STL.
These were printed at a .3 mm layer height for fast printing! The blue and purple puzzle is made with color changing filament. When the pieces get warm, the puzzle turns white and pink.
