Stackable Slotcar Stand

I have some 1/32 slotcars and wanted a way of organizing them. They should also be easy to use and put back.

I liked the idea of the Stackable Slotcar Stand by Krpepe. I reworked his design and made some changes. Using a magnet to avoid the cars flipping over was not an option for me. So I decided in creating another car support option.

After some iterations I figured out that the plate itself has enough support for most cars, so I removed the extra height and increased the length of the slot over the whole plate.

Now the stand can be used as a separate plate for everyone tinkering with slotcars or / and to organize them. If the plate is too big, or the tear distance too small ;) you can use the support which raises the car, also if the car is wider and needs extra support.

The car support can and should be adjusted to your needs.

All is available on tinkercad and can be adjusted to your needs.

Print Instructions

It does not really matter how you print the pieces.

Pillars

For the pillars it is recommended to use a brim if your material does not stick well onto the print surface. Also the pillars are a “very” tight fit, you can shrink them in your slicer by 0.2 mm or do it like I do ;) use a rubber hammer and some force.

With the hammer option you end up with a very stable stack - which is good.
