This  simple box allows tidy storage and prevents curling of sanding disks.  The slot in the front allows easy selection and removal of the required grit, and dividers are marked with common grits.

This box is designed for 125mm (5") disks, but can easily be scaled up or down in the slicer.

Print the lid “upside down” - no supports are required for any part.

My example is printed in PETG, but I can see no reason why PLA would not provide equal service in this instance.

EDIT OCTOBER 2023

A couple of people have asked for a version which is faster to print.

I've not tested these, so use at your own risk, but I have uploaded in a separate folder the following documents -

A box sliced with no infill or top layers - print the outline only with four perimeters - 1.6mm.  It will be a little light, but stronger than a standard cardboard package.

A .3mf document with a modifier as a demonstration of how to make a hole in the middle of the disks.    For now this is a DYI project!

An STL of a disk and modifier volume overlayed.  Separate these in your slicer and note the precise locations of each part.  With those locations sorted you can use the modifier to replicate a hole in the centre of the dividers of your choice.

If you can't work out how to do this, drop me a note, and I'll send you the modified files you require.
