Implementation of a box made of an old paper core from a spool of Prusament. This variant makes it just a couple of millimeters higher that the core itself.

  • The top and bottom part are modeled after prusament flanges, therefore have a very strong grip. The downside of it that it makes box significantly hard to assemble. A tool will be needed (vice, clamp etc).
  • For an easy assemble (and ability to disassemble afterwards), take top and bottom from https://www.printables.com/model/548294-prusabox-recycle-your-cardboard-from-prusament-spo, the original model. Threads in top and lid are measured from there, therefore compatible.
  • The top part has an option with a funnel, if you want to store some small items (M2×6 screws maybe) and are afraid of spilling them.
  • Double-check the orientation of the core before assembling, otherwise your hungry Jo might appear upside-down.
  • As you can see in the source/ folder, technically the model is recreated from scratch in openscad. However, the idea and most of measurements come from the original model.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

The lid is now thin, reducing overall box height. And, unfortunately, capacity too (a little).

The top and bottom part have now much better grip, being modeled after prusament flanges.
