These beads are designed for quick release buckles on water sports equipment such as a harness on a buoyancy aid or a dump valve on a BCD for SCUBA. You can adjust the beads buoyancy and add reinforcement by adding a 25mm m6 or m8 penny washer (suggest stainless steel).
Lets face it you can easily loose your sense of humor if the toggle falls apart when you really need it, so the penny washer also acts as a final chance if the bead were to fall apart!
Prints with a small brim and without supports, 3 - 4 walls, infill 5 - 10% to float or save filament and 100% if you want to use it deep underwater.
Three designs Solid.3mf, Float.3mf and Hollow.3mf.
Solid is designed to be printed at 100% infill so as to minimize any airspace inside, for scuba diving, and to be reinforced with with a washer. If you are not intending to take it deep underwater
Float is designed to be used without a washer, printed with a small amount of infill to support the internal structures.
Hollow is designed to use less filament. with internal structures to support the shape, all internal voids are connected to the outside world, so it will fill with water. If being used at depth any air inside will compress but should allow water in instead of crushing. Again this version is designed to be used with a penny washer for additional strength and to act as a fail safe incase the bead fails.
